Cookie Policy
Most cookie policies on the internet are visibly fake. This one names actual cookies, with actual purposes.

1. What a cookie is
A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to store on your device. The browser sends the file back to the website on later visits, which is how a site remembers things like a logged-in session or a saved preference.
This policy describes the cookies clinicboost.ae sets and the controls available to you.
2. Categories we use
We group the cookies we use into three categories:
- Strictly necessary. The site cannot function without these. They are set without consent because they are required for basic operation.
- Performance and analytics. Help us see which pages serve you. Set only after you give consent through the banner.
- Marketing. Used only after you give consent. At present we do not set marketing cookies; the category is listed because it may be used in future, in which case this policy will be updated within 14 days of the change.
3. Cookies we set - strictly necessary
| Cookie name | Purpose | Lifespan | First / third party |
|---|---|---|---|
cb_session | Maintains your session while you browse the site. | Session (deleted when the browser closes) | First-party |
cb_csrf | Protects forms from cross-site request forgery attacks. | Session | First-party |
cb_consent | Stores your cookie-banner preferences. | 180 days | First-party |
4. Cookies we set - performance and analytics
Performance and analytics cookies are set only after you accept them through the consent banner. The current analytics tooling is [placeholder until selection is finalised]. The placeholder will be replaced with the named tool, its cookie names, and their lifespans within 14 days of selection.
- IP addresses are anonymised.
- No cross-site tracking is performed.
- Retention is limited to the period required for aggregate reporting.
To opt out, re-open the banner via the “Cookie preferences” link in the footer, change your preference, and save.
5. Third-party cookies
Where the site embeds third-party tooling, the third party may set its own cookies. We name each third party and link to its privacy policy.
- Calendly. Used for the calendar embed on /contact. May set session and functional cookies. Calendly privacy policy.
- WhatsApp link (wa.me). Loaded on click only. No cookies are set unless the user follows the link to WhatsApp.
6. How to control cookies
You have two layers of control.
Our consent banner
Re-open the banner at any time via the “Cookie preferences” link in the footer. Change your category preferences. Save. Your choice is recorded in thecb_consent cookie for 180 days, then re-asked.
Browser-level controls
You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings.
- Chrome. Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data.
- Safari. Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data.
- Firefox. Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data.
- Edge. Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Manage and delete cookies and site data.
7. Consent banner microcopy
This subsection documents the banner copy itself, not the policy. It is the only place persuasion-shaped microcopy belongs on a legal surface.
- Attention. “We use cookies to keep this site functional and to understand which pages serve you.”
- Interest. “Strictly necessary cookies are always on. Analytics is optional. Marketing is off.”
- Desire. “Analytics helps us see which pages serve you, never tied to your identity.”
- Action. Three buttons: “Accept all”, “Reject non-essential”, “Customise”.
The policy text below the banner remains plain language, by design.
8. Lifespans
Restated table for reference. Duplication is intentional, so the table can be cited without scrolling back.
| Cookie name | Lifespan (days) | Category |
|---|---|---|
cb_session | Session only | Strictly necessary |
cb_csrf | Session only | Strictly necessary |
cb_consent | 180 | Strictly necessary |
| Analytics tool name [placeholder] | To be confirmed on selection | Performance and analytics |
9. Updates and contact
When we add a new tool that sets a cookie, we update this list within 14 days, dated. Material changes are notified to active contacts in line with our Privacy Policy.
